I think it would have added so much depth to the story if Negan’s voice was permanently damaged from Rick slitting his throat. Even if it was a little more raspy or something, or if he was self conscious about the scar and covered it with a handkerchief or something. This show is so bad about treating injuries realistically. Negan should have some sort of scar from what Rick did to him. And then maybe Judith could ask him why he has a scar, or what her daddy did to him, and Negan could defend Rick in some way, or tell her that Rick saved his life. That would make Negan a dynamic character with the fact that he’s trying to defend the man who almost killed him because he realizes that he deserved it.
